@NoneBuriedDeeper Lol, that's so true especially for a lot of metal bands. It's funny though because Black Sabbath started them off with amazing bass in their songs...

@NoneBuriedDeeper Exactly! Some of the metal albums I have... I swear most of the audible lower frequencies come from the guitar amps, so fire the damn bass players or mix them properly, darn it! :P

@modplugrad They have a rare great bass player. He actually plays the instrument. they don't have to hide him in the mix. I don't know why bands even have a bass player sometimes. Most bass players should be fired and the money saved...lol

@NoneBuriedDeeper Those songs you mention are all great, and I've always loved how Overkill is a thrash band with very audible bass (a rare thing!) so I dont know what it is that I like less about it. Just the overall vibe of the production, somehow :/ ? I dunno.

@modplugrad That's funny cause W.F.O. is one of my favorites. Verni's bass totally kicks ass through that whole album. With They Eat their Young, Gasoline Dream, Under One, Up to Zero , Bastard Nation, Supersonic Hate I can listen to that album for a week straight...lol
