During our visit at Discovery Cove Orlando on the 12th of May 2009 we stumbled upon very bad weather. We were already a week in Orlando and the weather was great up until that very day. Right after we had swum with dolphins very dark clouds came our way. We were asked to shelter under a roof because they were expecting very heavy wind (70-90 mph). After we took some shelter it started to rain heavily and the wind was very hard (storm like). Then a thunderstorm kicked in. First we thought it was beautiful and my mother wanted to film it. Eventually she was disappointed that every time she turned of the camera it would start lightning again. Well, she got what she asked for because seconds later the lightning struck the rooftop where we were sheltering. First we thought it struck nearby. However, a park official told us that the lightning hit the wires on top of the roof. It was a very loud bang which scared my mother and she immediately turned of the camera. That was a pity because right thereafter people started to panic and the fire alarm was creating a terrible noise. Fortunately we got away with just a scare and nobody was hurt.
