Two Shot in Detroit After Argument Over Kool-Aid

Witnesses say two guys in the Brightmoor neighborhood were so passionate about the way they make Kool-Aid, they started arguing with each other over who does it better. Sadly, that fight took a horrifying turn when they both pulled out guns and started firing at each other. Again, this was over Kool-Aid. They didn't hit each other, but two innocent bystanders suffered gunshot wounds in the soft drink shooting. Police call it utterly ridiculous, but they've seen worse.

There's always these news stories where a shooting occurs because two people were arguing over something trifling, like a radio being too loud or over an ice cream cone or over a parking spot. And then everyone says how ridiculous and crazy it is that people would fight to the death over something so small and insignificant. But those people completely miss the point. These fights are never over the original matter. They are about the escalation that results from disrespect and verbal abuse.
