160 people disliked this? I don't understand that. Even if they don't particularly like this style of music surely they must appreciate the skill of the musicians?
I appreciate all forms of music from classical, rock, jazz, electronic dance and even dubstep, (that most people would not even call music, lol).
I actually produce dance and trance music but I wish I had just 1 fraction the talent of these guys.

Sorry Oliver, I disagree. Those kids are talented and on the path to a successful bluegrass career, but compared to the talent on the stage in this video, they do not yet hold a candle. Earl Scruggs is the pioneer of the 5-string banjo the 3 finger picking style bears his name "Scruggs Style". To make a side by side comparison of him and Jonny Mizone and say they are the same is ridiculous. The only players I would say could be compared to Earl are Don Reno, Ralph Stanley and maybe JD Crowe.

There is so much going on in that piece. Unbelievable talent on that stage.

some of the best in the world on that stage. I believe the guitar player was Tony Rice.

There's one in every box.
But that amount is just 1.128% of those who "Liked" Earl. And only 3.45 thousandths of a percent the 4.7 million viewers who saw this over all.
They probably wear tinfoil on their heads too.

Oops. In that last comment of mine, yeah, Jerry Douglas can "sign", he's signed lots of autographs. Meant to say "sing". You knew that's what I meant.

Yeah, I like the authentic drawl of Jerry's dobro playing. So many Nashville acts put on a thick, fake drawl to try to pass as country. Jerry's dobro sounds like a genuine Ohio farm boy. I'm surprised more people don't emulate his style. I suppose it just takes more time and dedication than most are willing to give it.

Yep, I'd prefer that Jerry Douglas always played dobro. When it comes to the dobro there is Jerry and then everyone else. He is in a class by himself. But he is also a mean guitar player, and I think he also plays lap steel. Plus he can sign, though he rarely does. Check out him singing "Carolina In My Mind" with Alison Krauss.

I was expressing surprise, not disgust. Jerry Douglas on the dobro I'm accustomed to. It would be a waste to have him on anything else.

@thescowlingschauzer: Vince playing an electric guitar, Marty playing a mandolin. What's wrong with that? Those are some of the many talents they have. Give them an instrument with strings, and they can play it. And, wow, Jerry Douglas on the dobro. It's hard enough to play a dobro at a medium pace, let alone a hurricane pace like this song requires.
Who's the fiddle player? Bryan Duncan?
