  • I was in High School and playing some baritone sax at the time. I saw essentially this same show in Charlotte, NC up front with a good seat. I think it was a sold out show. Changed my whole outlook. I would have loved to have played in the band. It was ALL AWESOME. It was funky, hard, raw and yet very sophisticated and jazzy all in one. Rest in peace J.B.! Your music lives on. My thanks to youtube and the member posting the video.

  • I was! Saw him twice as a teenager in El Paso, Tx for about $5.00 each time! I will never forget the fun !!! The energy - his dance moves- his talent - ohhhh it was something to behold when they would put the cape on him and the way he danced!! I am sooo happy I got to see him in person in his prime!- and we were right up front both times he came to town ! We loved him in El Paso & still do!!! Thank you Mr James Brown- RIP~~<3
