Julia Child, a dear friend and long-time supporter of the CIA, and member of the college's Hall of Fame, visited our Hyde Park campus in 1990 for a special event with our students. While on campus, she sat down with Dr. Tim Ryan, now the CIA's President, to discuss her thoughts on food and future trends in the industry. The CIA wanted to share a few highlights of this discussion with you. We hope you enjoy them.

  • @2dasimmons We still have her Jacques Pepin who hosted her final cooking show with her in 1999, and Sarah Moulton, the very talented host of Cooking Live that was on the Food Network back when it was still worth watching who worked under Julia on her cooking with more company show. And we have talented home cooks who are still learning with Julia. However, there is only one Julia.

  • She actually did work for the OSS, precursor to the CIA. Google it

  • This is classic. When she passed away, style and good-spirit left the culinary arena. Martha Stewart is no Julia Child.

  • lol

  • Ooooh, this CIA, not the other CIA

  • both

  • She is such an inspiration! Her modesty and sincerity always amaze me, and she is such a great speaker!
