It's only 17 hours left before the ICC Prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo reveals the names of the six suspects said to have been at the helm of Kenya's post election violence in 2007-2008 at The Hague in Netherlands. Ocampo will name the suspects at 2pm Kenya time, as he also highlights the charges facing the suspects. Citizen television will bring you a live coverage of the list Ocampo is going to give and the reactions of the citizens from all over the country. Our associate editor Alex Chamwada is in The Hague to bring you the latest developments.

  • @siasabora The thing I don't like about the ICC is the whole concept behind it from its inception to operations. Ocampo is trying to fix the Kenyan situation into a different system. This is a case of trying to fit a square key in a triangular keyhole. That said there is still room for Kenya to establish a local mechanism as long as the case is in the pre trial stage. We'll see what will happen.

  • @fundimangungu: Twice, note Twice, this parliament refused to pass a bill to open up a local court to prosecute the PEV masterminds...under the Serena Peace signed between PM and the President, the perpetrators of the killings were either to be tried locally or Haque...the Kenyan lawmakers overwhelmingly chose Haque...now u wht is it u beefin all over about? eh?

  • @odhiscroco Ocampo is here under the guise of impunity while it is no fiction that with or without Ocampo, impunity in Kenya is still very much with us in my lifetime and yours. ICC is a tear in the ocean when it comes to its contribution to Kenya's problems. In fact they are probably more of a problem than a solution. I don't believe any Kenyan contributed to the drafting of Rome statute. It was drafted by the likes U.S. of which they are not a party to coz it violates their constitution.

  • @fundimangungu However hard you try to bismirch him it will never stick. the fact is that people died, were raped, dismembered, displaced, in kenya and those who organized the mayhem have to pay for it.The fact that Ocampo refused to act on other cases and is acting on Kenyan case is something to be proud of showing that the international community is with us. If he does nothing impunity will reign supreme.

  • ..................... The ICC is simply a neo-colonialist institution only prosecuting crimes in Africa.

  • Kenya is the 1st ever country where ICC has authorized use of the office of prosecutor proprio motu powers allowing him to open his own investigations. Despite the Kenyan situation, there are certainly other places in the world that deserve his attention, and most importantly, the attention of the "world community" of whom he is merely the agent rather than the embodiment. The prosecutor in the past refused to request the opening of an investigation places like Iraq..............

  • Kenyan's the world does not revolve around you and your petty internal wrangles. You are a snippet in the world stage synonymous with a nobody. If you the electorate choose to elect cat and mouse leaders then it is you as a people who get the short end of the stick. The ball is in your court...you can choose to be fools or choose not to be fooled. Make your choice!!
