LG Electronics (LG), the worlds leading innovator of home appliances, held its second premier amateur culinary competition, The LG Life Tastes Good Championship Global Final 2009 at the Hyatt Erawan Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on November 11, 2009.3
Anna Kim, former apprentice to the world famous chef Joël Robuchon, showcased Ginseng Kalbi (marinated short ribs) with a Wild Mushroom Black Garlic Medley at the 2009 LG Life Tastes Good Championship Global Final. She focused on healthier cooking based on an oriental cooking style by leveraging LGs special heating system which utilizes light to eliminate the need for preheating. The shortened rapid cooking time enabled the ingredients to maintain their original flavors and nutritional elements. With LGs special heating system she created a simple and easy yet deliciously juicy and tender cuisine within fifteen minutes. Regarding the question of what cooking means to her, she said, I think cooking is a long journey to happiness. Anna Kim also had culinary experiences with Nobu, Gordon Ramsay, and the Four Seasons Hotel in the U.S
