@NPorganist : I do play. Learnt firstly at The Scots' Church Russell Street Melbourne and was one of the late Lawrie Warner's students. Further, I learnt how to play virtuoso works under Leonard Fullard at Christ Church South Yarra just out of Melbourne. Bound now by the Regulative Principle in Public Worship - no instrumental music in the public worship of God and the preaching of The Word.

Hallo! 'Thanks for your reply. I'm in Scotland, UK. A very interesting movement indeed. Bach continues to surprise as his music unfolds and this piece is no exception, in my opinion. His sheer inventiveness plus catchy themes are wonderful. Parts of this movement get into my head and I can't stop whistling them. Drives my family crazy! It reminds me of the Andante movement of the E Minor Trio Sonata (BWV 528). Toxiconegro has posted a good version of it. Do you play?

Nice point, MusicPredominates! I was recalling practising in a freezing cold church with icy fingers and numb feet when I had to master a new page for the next lesson! I'm sure you will pardon my ill-advised use of the word in the circumstances! Scholastically challenging, to say the least!

@NPorganist : Throw the term 'fiendishly' to the winds where it belongs NP ! Use the word 'scholastically in preference !

Bach's Trio Sonatas are incredibley difficult! I played one last semester and it was the most exhilerating and frustrating thing ever!

I really love this! Thank you Toxico!
Wonderful idea displaying the score as the piece is played. Helps you to understand how Bach expanded his musical ideas. May look straightforward to play but I've always found them fiendishly difficult. Even the slower movements. Great music.

What you just mentioned is exactly the pin point why I'm doing those videos. In addition to that you're also right: Bach's works are extremely difficult and it requires a lot of practice plus a certain understanding how to construe them properly.
