@LeasesAndListings - MIAA only serves the territories in the midwest displayed on our website, but SIAA has other alliance headquarters like ours across the US. Find other SIAA Alliance HQ locations at their website, and our territories in the Midwest at ours listed above.

Are you not serving California?

Does an agent actually remain independent, or is this one of those deals where you are owned by someone else?

This is interesting, but I wish someone would have had this on here earlier! This is a good "how to" on becoming an independent insurance agent.

If you are in property and casualty insurance sales you need to check this alliance of independent agencies out! The alliance has benefits for all sizes of existing and brand new agencies! Be PROACTIVE vs REACTIVE!

I'm seeing more and more captive agents trying to start independent insurance agencies.
Your agency is 100% independent and MIAA doesn't control what you do or how you do it. We will show our members ways that they can increase their revenue, but they are suggestions that aren't required. Our motto is that our members are "Independent, but never alone."

Be sure to check out our website for more information. It was difficult to give all of the info on how to become an insurance agent in such a short timeframe.
