Summary of the Project:
The youth exchange will bring together 40 young people from countries from different parts of Europe.
The idea of the exchange is to answer such questions as: „Why to create an NGO?" „What are the principles of a good project" „What is a challenge of organising a project", „What is it to be an active citizen?" etc. etc. -- and most of the workshops will be based on the idea of a concrete project called „City Raid".
„City Raid Andros" is an annual orientation and citizenship game for children of the age of 8-13 years that takes place all over France. The teams of 6 children + 1 adult have one day in the city to find the stands, pointed out on the map, and to complete the tasks next to each one, gaining the points (the tasks may be in various areas, intellectual, physical, etc). All the best teams from all over France go to the innaguaration in Paris. More information about the game you can read on: www.city-raid-andros.org
Last year, in May, Metz was a pioneer city to introduce 2 international teams -- Luxembourgish and Estonian. Before this game was only on national level. To watch the video from the event you can on:

We wish that the youth exchange has a bigger effect, and that all the groups who will be participating in the exchange are able to send the groups of children for the „City Raid" game in May 2008.
This is why it is very important that the groups of young people, coming for the exchange keep in mind that it is more than just an exchange, and they will have a responsibility on them after coming back home.
Accommodation:
We will live in a nice romantic place of Rabas in rural area of the Lorraine region in France. We will stay in a big house, which will be rented only for us, so we will be free to enjoy ourselves during the exchange and learn more about our cultures. There is beautiful nature around the centre, so we can also enjoy the fresh air and go for a walk -- play snowwar or make snowmen if there is snow? ☺
There is one visit planned to Metz with the meeting in the General Council (Conseil Gènèral), but apart from that we will stay the whole duration of the exchange in the centre in Rabas, so that we can concentrate on the intercultural learning between ourselves.
We will stay in bigger rooms in mixed international groups in order to make the intercultural exchange easier.
