  • Hello blueheronarts,

Really interesting video! I have seen other videos where a stamp was carved at a market and it was in bronze. Very clever, but, as you say, you have to concentrate and remember where you are doing Intaglio or not, because it is easy to loose your way and cut where it should not be!

I honestly thought you were maybe 30?

    Take care,

    mrbluenun

  • @mrbluenun Thank you for your kind compliments.

  • hey! you got partnered, congrats. And you look a lot younger than 50 :)

  • Thank you for your compliments!

Yeah, as a partner I can no longer listen to music while I video taping;-) It's kind of bored, itsn't it?

  • Henry you're great... I don't know if you did this on purpose but if you remember well I asked you for this one... so THANKS a lot!

By the way... you're going to 50? Wow you seem to your 40's! Truly you seem younger! :)

    Peace!

  • Yeah, time is flying. I am turning 50 this year. Thank you for your support.

  • That was very helpful, thank you!

  • Thank you very much!! :)

  • Don't have to! My mother bought me my own chop with my name engraved into it. It's a beauty!

  • buy a Chinese calligraphy set from amazon comes with a soap stone uncarved and everything also with brush and ink stones

  • Please, don't use the Papyrus typeface. I'm begging you. Typesetting is as much an art as calligraphy.

You might think Papyrus looks elegant and calligraphic, but its proper uses are very limited, and it's overused in all the wrong ways.

  • A very interesting and informative video, Henry. Gee I wish I had my own chop. My mother always told me how common they were when she was a child.

Do people in China still use chops regularly in business? For signing documents etc?
