Welcome to my Mac OS X Lion upgrade install race! I pit my newest Macs against each other to see which one can install Lion the fastest! Featuring the latest iMac, MacBook Pro, and 2010 MacBook Air! Which one will win? Before the main event, I go over some upgrade tips (Quicken Mac users please do some research before upgrading to Lion, Quicken and Lion do not currently work together). And afterward I give a few brief first impressions. Please feel free to leave comments or questions and I will try to respond. Also be sure to rate and subscribe. Thanks for watching!

  • i just bought a 2011 imac with lion, what do i have to do if i want to reinstall lion in the future since i don't have the app installer where it is supposed to be ?

  • @Slick23021991 See my 2011 MacBook Air video, about 5:50 in.

  • Were do you find the download of Lion, I have installed it on my pro and want to on my air but i cant find the file.

  • @jyoung7998 Check the Applications folder or do a spotlight search for "Install Mac OS X Lion.app" If you don't find it, you may be out of luck as I believe the file gets deleted after the update is complete. Also, maybe you can download again from the App Store without being charged? Not sure on that, though.

  • If I upgrade to Lion, will my files be deleted?

  • @tino730 thanks, i kind of have another problem now, last week i installed mountain lion developer preview, i didn't like it and my recovery disk turned into mountain lion so i had no lion installer disk and i just took one from the internet and installed it, it works fine but now when i go into the mac app store to the lion app it doesn't recognize it as being installed, how can i get my legitimate copy of lion back ?

  • @Slick23021991 Easy, use a macbook or something to download installer. Or you could go into purchases while holding shift and redownloading it.

  • man you are rich... i just have a macbook pro...

  • macs suck balls

  • Should I get a MacBook pro or a MacBook air,I can't decide...

  • @blakecottington thanks a lot !
