Hi. I'd ask you humbly what it would look like for us to get back to the real gospel. If there are things taught at NEXT or any other conferences which are contradictory of the teachings of the bible, then we should address them and correct them. And by and large, I do not think that Sovereign Grace Ministries claim themselves above the authority of the scriptures. And I do not recall the last time SGM saying anything about obtaining salvation through attending these conferences.

Well all thats left to say is that I will leave you with your position and pray for you. You seem bitter and proud. Just remember that the bible calls us to correct humbly and gently. Neither of which you have demonstrated on your comments. Speak the truth in love is another.

They can listen to the sermons free online. They never have said you would get a special blessing. You can study for four days at home. But if you can by Gods provision study with a group of believers taught by scholars through exegetical sermons why not attend. We believe in perseverance of the saints so that would not in any way contribute or keep one saved. I think you have a misunderstanding at what happens at these conferences. you should listen to the sermons yourself.

The reason why we need a reminder is because most believers place other things where Christ belongs. It is the cause of indwelling sin. If we had Christ at the center of our heart we would not desire other things. Now when we get to the point of paying for conferences. I would just qoute Whitfield when he argued with Wesley. "Why dispute, you think otherwise. Why then argue when there is no probability of convincing. Only I pray to God the more you judge us, the more I love you

Why do we need a reminder that Jesus is preminent? Is not the daily infilling and inspiration of the Holy Spirit enough? Is our daily fellowship with God and each other not enough? Are regular church meetings not enough? Where did the apostle Paul ever have a speccial conference that you had to pay to go to????? We do not need a money costing conference for THE GOSPEL!!!! Jesus didn't and Paul didn't! So let's get back to the REAL gospel! Salvation is a GIFT - remember!

They did not present this conference as meet Jesus again it was more of a lets remind ourselves Jesus is preeminent. Seems as if you did not go and I would encourage you not to comment unless you saw, heard, and witnessed what you are saying they are doing. It reflects badly on the unity of the church and can serve as a stumblilng block to many. Do not let pride or pressupostions get in the way of that which is of first importance. THE GOSPEL!!

Jesus did also teach in fields and not in venues or in synagogues im pretty sure if you went to a sov grace church there is no cover charge. Your argument would only be legit if it were to be that they charged for everything

Jesus taught people for free, but my family has to pay to go to this conference? Is there something wrong with this picture?
