How to download and install WHMCS

• Installing WHMCS is a simple process, as long as your server meets all the system requirements.
• Generally, any server running a control panel, such as cPanel or Plesk will meet the requirements. If they are not met, you will be notified about it during the process.
• You need to purchase a license for WHMCS.
• Click on Client Area to log in. Fill in email address and password. Click on Login button to proceed. You can click on Remember me button for retaining the details in your system.
• Go to My Products/Services section. Locate the correct license on the page.
• Scroll down and find the Download section and then download the latest version of WHMCS. If you do not see any downloads, you need to contact WHMCS support department.
• Once the file is downloaded to your computer, extract the archive.
• Scroll down and remove .new from the configuration file's name. With the renamed file, upload the entire WHMCS folder to your FTP server.
• WHMCS code is encrypted; loncube loaders are needed for it to function. Your server might have already installed them. If it does not, you will not be able to proceed any further.
• There should be an ioncube folder in the archive extracted by you. Simply upload the folder inside WHMCS directory you just uploaded. If ioncube folder is not present, contact WHMCS support for files or contact support department to have Ioncube set up for your entire server.
• After all the files have been uploaded, you can begin the installation. Installation script can be found at http://www.yourdomain.com/whmcs/install/install.php.
• Read through the license agreement and scroll down. Click on I Agree button.
• If any of the permission checks fail, you will need to adjust CHMOD permissions as described for each file. It can be done using your FTP client or control panel. Click on Continue button.
• Paste your license key and database connection details. Click Continue button.
• Enter account details for your primary administrator account. Click on Continue button.
• Installation will be complete. You should delete or rename the install directory before proceeding. Make sure to change CHMOD permissions for configuration.php back to 644, if you needed to change them earlier.
• Go to yourdomain.com/whmcs/admin to see if the login page appears.
• You can log in to WHMCS.
