Powerful Wisdom & Truth: 'There' by Richard Wilkins. The Secret Inspiration

The following was written by Richard Wilkins who 'had it all'
and lost EVERYTHING overnight.
In his darkest time, he gained the most insight & wrote the following........




THERE

These are the writings of my own crude hand,

to tell the tale of a promised land.

It's not of the Bible, nor of the Lord,

It's not around the corner and it isn't abroad.




It's a place you can't see, no matter how hard you stare.

I speak to you of the place known as 'THERE'.

So what's the riddle of how I write

of a strange land that's away and out of sight?




Well listen my friend, pull up a chair,

While I tell you what I know of a place known as 'THERE'.

'THERE' is a place for which men have lied, even killed,

throughout the world the blood has been spilled.




How many times have you heard people say:

'I don't know when, but I'll get 'THERE' one day'?

Tell me my friend if you search your heart,

Can you honestly say you've never taken part?




Be honest with me.....if you dare,

Have you never once thought, "Oh, I'll get 'THERE?"

So off we all go to solve life's mess,

Just one more problem - there is no address!




It's madness itself, for how hard you strive,

With no destination - you can never arrive.

I beg of you now, heed what I say,

It's only my pain shows me the way.




I hear you say, 'I know of such pain'

But how can this be, when you are still sane?

I didn't listen, I hadn't a care,

The one thing I knew was - "I'd get 'THERE"




'THERE' I was with so many toys,

A mansion, fast car, a wife and three boys.

Possessions and people classed in the same verse,

But there's the truth, Oh God it's peverse.




If only I'd listened to my wife's pleading,

then perhaps I'd have noticed my internal bleeding.

My family went, I gave them a share,

You can do that you see, when you're almost 'THERE'.




So what's the problem I can hear you say?

Why do I go on in this way?

It's because, my friend, I'm paying the cost,

'cos searching for 'THERE' is further lost.




And still you may say that you don't understand,

Even now , as I show you my hand.

Well I speak to you now in my pathetic state,

That in the hope for you it isn't too late.




Thank you my friend for reading my rhyme,

The ending is simple,


For 'THERE' is 'HERE'

It was, all the time




This was written by Richard Wilkins,
a self made multi-millionaire who made (and lost) a fortune.
He lost his wife & his family, and all self-worth.
In his darkest time he attempted suicide.

On the other side of his experiences and insight,
not only has he been phenomenally successful.
More importantly he lives with a totally
different perspective and shares a simple message:

"There is Here. Live life today and love the people in it"


He very nearly lost everything in his quest for 'There'

By the gods this is so true. After working all my life I have just lost my job through no fault of my own. I am a mum of 4 young children, and we will lose our home in 3 weeks. Life can be swept away so easily. At the very least we have each other, and our love. Our 'here' is not so good at the moment, but i pray it will get better soon x
