  • @lasuvidaboy I have Me TV, and tonight (11/23/11) they are showing an episode of MARY TYLER MOORE Sandrich didn't direct--WOULDN'T direct, because he hated the sotry.

You might have seen it..."Chuckles Bites The Dust"

    ''

  • @lkretz You have to read the biography of John Cheever that came out a couple of years ago. Among other things it tells of the on-again, off-again 15 year affair Lange had with the famed author.

  • @rjbragg1 I do. It was called "Martha Meets The Captain", and it was one of the last episodes of the show. Season 2 episode 21.

  • Does anyone remember the show where Martha finds out about the Captain??

  • Halcyon Maxwell and Hazel Burke

  • This is such a great video..thank you so much for posting it. Ghost and Mrs. Muir is a wonderful series. Do you have any other episodes you can share?

  • I just watched The Best of Everything yesterday and recognized Hope Lange. I just couldn't remember what I watched her in when I was a little girl. Was happy to find this to job my memory. This was the one! I enjoyed the episode. Thanks for sharing.

  • @ShermansAlley In 1969 my family, and most families in my neighborhood did not have color TVs (Winston-Salem, NC). So, "in color" sounded exotic to us then. Our first color TV set was 1972 and the first program I saw in color was Sealab 2020 on Saturday morning TV (NBC I think). As I recall The FBI (also on ABC) was announced as In Color in the early 70s as well.

  • Interesting that as late as November of 1969, ABC was still announcing, at the start of a show, that it was "in color." By then, I would think everything on network TV was in color and it would be accepted as a given.

  • This short-lived series had one of the best themes/openings in the history of television.
