Myst is a graphic adventure video game designed and directed by the brothers Robyn and Rand Miller. It was developed by Cyan Worlds, a Spokane, Washington-based studio, and published and distributed by Brøderbund. The Millers began working on Myst in 1991 and released it for the Macintosh computer on September 24, 1993; it was developer Cyan's largest project to date. Remakes and ports of the game have been released for Microsoft Windows, Windows Mobile, Sega Saturn, PlayStation, Jaguar CD, AmigaOS, CD-i, 3DO, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, and the iPhone OS by publishers Midway Games, Sunsoft, and Mean Hamster Software.

@Zuon94 Hey, Yes unfortunately i did try this already and to no avail. The program has become self aware, and decides it does not want to work.

You could try this and see if it works.

1. Open realMYSTSetup in realMyst's main folder.

2. Select a Direct3D "3D Hardware" that does not use T&L; only "[Direct3D HAL]".

[3. You might have to install the Ligos Indeo Codecs.]

im doomed to get any version of myst to work at all on windows 7, as im currently trying to use realmyst and just doesnt want to work regardless of any compatibility mode..

Did you get Myst to work? If not, check out the tech help section of any Myst forum - mystcommunity, mystobssesion, MUOUL, Guild of Greeters. Just google Myst masterpiece and tech help. If it just won't run, check out Good Old Games. They have lots of old games fixed up to run on Vista at really low prices.

I have a cd for this can you hel me to let it workon vista (if i try to play it starts starting the creator name and stuff but when i can start clicking it turns black
