Glass containers: automatic production

This video shows the basic operations of automatic manufacturing of glass containers - usually packaging for food products (bottles, ...), It is a capital intensive industry with very significant economies of scale. Video shows typical IS automatic machines, transfer lines, automatic handling of the product as well as quality control and inspection operations, both in hot and cold sections.
This movie is part of a series of nine videos ("Industrias") designed to assist courses in industrial operations and engineering, and produced during 1998/9 by AESBUC ETGI with financial assistance of PEDIP2 program.
