"I've never been to that railroad track"?
I don't need to know if been on the tracks...

Lee, thanks for the correction. I've always wanted to know when she was built, as 1926 is on the number plate and people say that is the date, and some people say 1923.
Hell, I even once asked a fireman on 97 when she was built and he didn't know.

"Alco" is a short term for "American Locomotive Company". Also, if someone says "Alco", they may also be referring to a locomotive built by the American Locomotive Company.
And secondly, I've seen this engine countless times, as well as going to this Railroad a lot. And also, the number of the engine is on the outside of the cab, on the number plate, and on number boards on the headlight LOL.

Built 1923, sold 1926.

PRR4000 How do you know what is called?
-
No, it's a 1926 Alco-built 2-8-0.

A steam engine train from the 1940's

I rode that train all the time as a kid! Then I'd skip the ferry part and just ride back with the returning passengers. Thanks for the memories!
Good neighbor policy. They blow first at the whistle post, then again just before arriving at the crossing. VRR has been there for 37 years,
doesn't need any enemies in a wealthy suburban neighborhood.
