  • ...here in England we have to send to the States to get a copy of the CD. I heard 3 tracks played early one morning - on the way back from a gig - and had to stop driving to write the title down. I have sent the CD to everyone I know. Beatiful...moving...accomplished.

    Many, many thanks

    Alan

  • I'm pretty sure it is son, I saw somewhere that this is for his son and gracie is for his daughter

  • What a beautiful voice...

  • Truly beautiful, and dare I say now I've listened to this a thousand times, think of this version as the one.

    Goosebumps and tears sometimes.

Not just for dads but for mums too!!

  • I believe hes asking his son to play with him, trying to bond.

Like being a train to carry him or chase him.

Role play to brighten his son up.

There can be other thoughts behind the line.

But often in music a person wants to get a sentiment across but also needs to rhym, so it could be a compromise and expect the folks to hopefully get it.

I would like to think I got the intention close at least since its what I get out of it.

  • This gives me goosebumps.

  • its son...this song was written for his son and gracie is for his daughter, nickk is right, ive heard him say this on concert multiple times.

  • great great great great job.

  • This is such a good cover and I really like your whole group! A Capella doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

  • its goodmorning sun!

    lol

x my favourite lie is "wearing a brown polyester shirt" i am not keen on the background singers in this one!
