  • Beautiful tank! Is that beautiful brown flowing thing a torch coral? Do you feed it anything, or do you just use the lights for it?

  • @cutietwo22 HI, that is called a torch coral. It doesn't need to be feed directly, the coral will filter feed. Of course it needs strong lighting as well. Thanks for watching!

  • Amazing colours from the lighting wow, i am still learning and have placed a video, sprouts marine tank 2010. i am saving to get fully sumped system, at present running a 4ft all mechanical, substrate and rocks are now live and all three filters are filled with BIO balls and Bio tubes. I am hoping my emporer angel (juvi) turns soon. What filtration are you using?

  • @RachelDowner Thanks for the nice comments Rachel. I am using Giesman T5 15k and 460nm actinitc lights. I also run a converted wet/dry sump (no bio balls) with a de-nitrater unit along with a skimmer and a rena xp3 cansister pump used only for phosphate media and physical removal. Try to get away from the bio balls as they produce nitrate. Convert to a refuge or go Berlin style with a large skimmer. This will be your best bet with coral. Best of luck!

  • that a really good video,i have done a video for you tube, the camara so the picture quality is not all that good, its under david reef tank, its a 120 gallon tank,it under most recent for this week i wonder if you can have a look and maybe give some pointers.cheers david

  • @MRDAVIDVANN

David, I though your tank and video were great. You really like the softies. Have you ever tried any SPS? Easy to keep as long as you keep it some distance from the soft coral and LPS. I am finding that out the hard way. Having a mixed reef is troublesome if the soft and hard coral come into contact. Otherwise I think you did a great job. Try up grading to a HD Camcorder and maybe a tri-pod. This worked for me. Best of luck and thanks for watching.

  • Very well formed video with charming admissions! Really washbasin! Charming music! Fantastically!

  • @BALDWINAQUAMAN Thanks, yes the lighting is the same. I am using the nova extream pro T5 lighting system. I am running 12 39w T5 bulbs. 6 actinic and 6 11k's. I have found the Giessman lights to be the best out there.
