The harvesting of sugar beets. Shot around Western Minnesota. Not intended for YouTube, but I put it up anyway. My first video ever, actually.

Hi looks something different to the sugarbeet harvest here in germany! we transport with normal high way use trucks the beet to the factory and we dont take the beet directly to the truck. we use a seperate load unit at the street called "lademaus" .

Sugar beets have a tap root that goes down many feet. Kind of like alfalfa. Loosens up the soil. So does the frost during the winter. Last year's sugar beet ground is the first to dry up in the spring.

@zachchaffee Yes, and they don't seem to plug up as much as the old 6 row lifters, so as a driver I'm happy. :D
