That one is pretty easy IMO a take down has to consist of both control and it must have time to settle. i've seen situations of wrestlers being held on their backs for split seconds, and you have to hold that call till the takedown settles or be faced with giving out points like freestyle

Those who say its not a takedown dont know NCAA Wrestling rules. Southerlands knees hit the mat then he was taken to his back under the control of Steiner That IS A takedown!

that was a takedown for sure.. at exactly :02 sunderland is reach back, steiner is back behind his hips and around his waste.. robbed? HA!

technically, steiner didn't have shit at :02 because sunderland still had head control. steiner didn't have his hips up at the end and wasn't in control until about half a second after time expired
