Nonetheless, there will ALWAYS be dangers for an economy to be reliant on a non-renewable resource. Perhaps now is a good opportunity for diversifying. And I don't think your argument against AGW isn't as much to do with science as it does in mitigation measures. If a cap and trade system was indeed put in place on coal-fired power plants on a national level, what would YOU do to ensure your district stays competitive in the energy markets? Or, do you see it as a threat to competition?

Well, that doesn't exactly answer the question. Anyway, how exactly will a carbon tax devastate industry in Ohio? Actually, what makes you so certain that a carbon tax will be employed, rather than a cap and trade system?

Coal, and its byproduct is almost 100% CO2. I think you can figure it out from there.
"Actually, what makes you so certain that a carbon tax will be employed, rather than a cap and trade system?"
Either way, the end result is the same, less coal used and CO2 produced. Once again, you can figure it out from there.

What's a 'Ronald Reagan' Conservative?
Doesn't that mean anti-union? anti-science? anti-environment?
