I Believe This Was A Video Clip Of NBC News' Rock Center With Brian Williams Video Promo #3 For Monday Night, October 31, 2011.
-
Shouldn't this show be called "Rockefeller Center" ?

@ultraback29 Good point. The only reason I cited that is because WNBC was (and still is) an NBC O&O station. And back then, there was no Internet. Nowadays, you could stream newscasts live from just about any station in the country on their website.

Local is really stretching it in terms of what I'm talking about because a vast majority of us don't see the local NBC station in New York. Although, I do like to say that when my dad was living up there in the '70s he enjoyed watching Chuck Scarborough.

@Boulton26 I'd guess generic. I remember the same music being used in the background of King of Queens reruns promos on WWOR out of NYC back in 2004.
-
What music is being used here?

Same shit same faces same news.

Oh, Sethly. I adore this thing Sethly and Brian have, ever since Seth started hosting WU with Amy Poehler, and they "forgot" to tell Brian. Good times.

@ultraback29 If local counts, WNBC brought Roger Grimsby in after crosstown rival WABC fired him back in 1986, Roger served 2 years as a reporter for WNBC after being an anchor at WABC for 16 years.

As a major news junkie, I'm interested in what Brian and his colleagues have in store for us.
It's no accident that both Harry Smith and Ted Koppel are in this promo. It's gotten me thinking of who else NBC has brought from the outside.
Meredith Vieria comes to mind who will also be a reporter for this program. But it may also interest you all to know that NBC is also the home of Al Michaels and Kathie Lee Gifford, the wife of Al's former partner at ABC. Bet ya didn't think of that?
Love the simplicity and great overall production of this commercial and Brian's personality revealed perfectly with the Seth Myers add-on
