Round one, Wednesday night of state 2009. The Cavalettes from Clackamas High School in Oregon. - - - We were good apples, but I guess they wanted oranges. Oh well :)
sometimes just good, solid, basic training done well will win over fancy tricks and advanced dance moves that a high school performer might not be able to succeed 100%. The whole idea behind educating kids through pageantry, is excellence. You want to see them master the basics before moving on to more advanced skills. So many groups forget that and write things too difficult. I'm glad to see this group doesn't.
This wasn't my favorite performance. They could have done much better. There wasn't anything in this one that would make me go "Wow". Unlike their "Heartscape" one. Now that one was fantastic.

hmm, sweet formations and transitions.
idk about the dancing though...
wasn't anything really technically challenging. no turning, leaps or leg extensions.
i give props on the synchronization of everything, though.
just interesting.
