Whites founded this country, so we obviously have a more rich american history than blacks, hispanics, asians, etc. so why are there months dedicated to learning their history?

1st: We don't have our own white history month an ur talking about let us have one month to ourselves.
2nd: We learn history about African American history anyway.

I think we should learn every thing that is taught in Black History month but be integrated within American History. Otherwise it becomes your history and not everyone's history. I am 53 years old and have seen great strides in people getting along. My children never experienced the stigma associated with dating someone of a different race. Our circle of friends are made up of all sorts of skin tones so much so, that it feels weird to classify them as such. When can we stop being separate?

You don't 'focus on the holocaust' as part of a 'white month' or 'Jewish heritage month'. You learn about it as history, which is how you should learn about black history too. She was making the point that you should learn history as history & not per race. By saying that you shouldn't learn about the holocaust at all, that's just like saying that you shouldn't about the slavery at all.
