Johnny Mathis was before my time but I love this old music, and I can't get enough of looking at him! He is such a stunner! Just as handsome as ever...yet of course my Kenneth is my darling...and most handsome man...I love the way Johnny ends this song....chilling it is.

I'm visiting again, and again I must say that this is one of my favouritt songs of all time. As a little girl when my mother played it for me, until now. So many exellent singers have their rendition of this song, and I think I have them all! But my greatest favourite of them all is our own Johnny Mathis. This is celestial, heavenly, above ground beautiful.

There is no doubt that he is a great singer and I have a few of his records, but for me there is only one singer of this particular song and that is Nat King Cole!!

i like how it turns to a cuban bolero.

I just last evening played his Nashville cd, A NIght To Remember, and Because You Loved Me........some of his new amazing pieces, and i sit here tonite and suddenly had a desire to go back in time and remember along with all of you where he started. I'm 61, discovered him at 12, and never went back. There will never be adequate words to equal what a gift from such a precious soul. We have been truly blessed.
Hi, cybernautev, thanks for this gem. What album did it come from?
All the best,

Yes, this is a favorite of mine, too. I believe I remember hearing it on the radio when it first came out. I remember the way he sang "but I miss you most of all (and then very suavely) my darling ..." It comes off "The Sweetheart Tree."
