Para poder entender en forma general el tema de la Conservación y el Desarrollo Sostenible, que hoy están en "boga" en todos los países del mundo y además existen mandatos precisos que "obligan" a todos los países a repensar sus estilos de desarrollo desde el punto de vista ambiental, es necesario comprender por lo menos los principios básicos de la Ecología. Puesto que sin ella, como ciencia relativamente moderna y holística, no hubiera sido posible entender a cabalidad la problemática ambiental como un todo universal, donde las fronteras geográficas no excisten.

Por lo tanto, y muy a nuestro pesar, se hace necesario tocar aunque sea superficialmente cuatro principios básicos que están omnipresentes en todos los aspectos naturales y ambientales.
TODO ESTA RELACIONADO CON LO DEMAS.

Nada, en la ecosfera, ocurre de un modo aislado; existe una complicada red de interconexiones entre los diferentes organismos vivos, y entre las poblaciones, especies y organismos individuales y sus medios físico-quimicos. Ningún animal, planta o microorganismo existe en aislamiento total ni entre sí ni con su medio físico. A esta ley se la conoce con el nombre de "principio de interdependencia".


En la naturaleza no existe desperdicio. Lo que se expulsa por un organismo como desperdicio, es tomado por otro como alimento. Teniendo en cuenta esta ley, cuando se vierte algo en la naturaleza, siempre hay que preguntarse: adónde va a parar?. Nada desaparece solo cambia de sitio.

LA NATURALEZA SABE LO QUE HACE.

Todo cambio importante realizado por el hombre en un sistema natural, resultará probablemente, perjudicial para este sistema.




Por razones de tiempo va a ser imposible tratar en esta sesión la "infinidad de aristas" que tiene la problemática ambiental. Solo nos centraremos a algunos grandes temas y resaltaremos a manera de información cuáles son los problemas críticos que nos afectan a todos. Y subrayo a todos, porque tarde o temprano sufriremos los efectos del deterioro ambiental. La naturaleza y el ambiente en general, no distinguen entre pobres y ricos; como decíamos, no existen barreras ni fronteras para los problemas globales.
