For this video we traveled to Kensington, London to check out the sole dealership of Bristol, the only manufacturer in the world that still hand-builds cars. There we met with chairman and owner Toby Silverton, as well as spokesperson Ben Samuelson, who took us on a drive to learn about how they keep their classic aesthetic modern.

  • What a lovely old school company they are. In the unlikely event that I am ever in the market for a car in this sort of price bracket, I'll pay their London showrooms a visit. Thank you for posting this.

  • I like Bristol Cars, both the Blenheim and Fighter. I would love to see how the stillborn Buccaneer would have turned out. I also think they would make a great 4 door car. I fully appreciate that some people don't like them and some people don't understand them but some of the comments are not very intelligent. Why is the UK so full of stupid people? Try growing up!

  • @HighCrystal I DIDN'T know....thanks for the reply.

  • @Dav123xyz No the Showrooms still operating and they have 4 cars there, but as you know the company went into administration.

  • Lottery win.....

  • @HighCrystal Bristol have gone then??

  • Sure an Italian exotic is the same price. Hovever, add in servicing costs, consider the lack of depreciation and divide the total by the number of miles driver ..... suddenly the Bristol costs 80% less than the pretty Italian toy.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Italian cars. They have their place as idols for our ambition. My point is that you have to factor in Bristol usability when weighing up their value.

  • Bristol are an odd company that produce cars you rarely see. Those two reasons are enough to make them desireable. Add in the fact that for any given period they were fast luxurious and PRACTICLE day cars and you have a great combo.

  • I love Bristol having first come across one when the big V8 thumped passed me and my mum as a 12 year year old. It was that experiance that led me to buy a type 409 project 30 years later.

  • @omegaslast

You are quite wrong. The Bristols were built quite literally by hand. The factory looked little different to a well equiped car restoration company. You will find that the high prestige italian marks are very modern by comparison with some truely cutting edge tech to hand.

You will need to look to someone like Noble to find a similar setup.

  • awful, truly awful...

  • なんともいえない良い味が出てる、上品な高級車。イギリスならではですね。
