Kris Mark on iTunes:
Yeeee! This is my first full-fledged music video to date. I had the pleasure of working with the man with endless talents, Scott Yoshimoto of MOVeMEDIA productions who directed, filmed, and produced the project, and he and I drew the video concept with Deyo Forteza of Kaba Modern.
I feel like the story in this video is a representation of who I was and who I am now. A few years ago, I was the nerd that got pushed around and was never noticed-- but with a little confidence and some supportive & legit friends... I took the stage, and everything changed from then on. If there's one thing I wanna let people know, it's that you always gotta carry a little confidence and trust that if you're really passionate about something... then you'll do whatever you can to make something out of it. The first step's always the scariest!
But hmm.. where's Kenni Earl you ask? Sadly, due to scheduling conflicts and his busy schedule running the clothing line ABSIDEE with CP, he couldn't make it down to the shoot. So Scott and I figured that we'd give all the extras a little something extra by having them cameo on the rap!
Overall, the music video was an extremely fun experience and I learned a lot about the work it takes to get everything together... and I'm really happy with how it turned out!
The final scene was taken at the residence of Casey Nishizu, and him and his family deserve a big thanks for letting us all go crazy in his poppin' backyard. Special thanks to Johnson Cheng and Nikki Yamat (choreographers), Dan Davis (photographer), Randy DeJesus (of RADisRAD) Kirsten Ascio (makeup/stylist), Raelynne Rosales, Kinh Nguyen, CP Phan and all the other extras who came down and made the shoot that much better.
As always, God bless, Love&Light and keep on the lookout for the No Labels EP album coming soon!
