My wish is that not a single other Canadian soldier die overseas. They are too precious to our nation and I want them home. But for those that have laid down their lives and their families.....I have only the deepest respect and the most sincere condolences.
At the going down of the Sun,
And in the Morning,
We shall remember Them.

I made it home to Regina in 2008. When home, I make an effort to visit family and friends who are no longer with us...While strolling through that Regina soldier's section of cemetery near the U or R, I came across Jeff's grave.. I never knew him, but bent over, straightend up the fresh flowers, and I noticed next to him, a marker laid for his Dad (RCMP) who is still alive... What greater love can a Dad have for his son, then one day to be next to him...
RIP Jeff - Wes Allen, Iraq Vet 06/07

MCpl Walsh serves now as overwatch archangel over brethren troops everywhere fighting to protect what he believed in, what we believe in.
I'm not religious, I don't belong to a church. But this much I know about such men.
CanadianMatt, with you, his family and everyone who misses him, I'm so very sorry he's gone.

Master Corporal Walsh looks like a very loving and devoted father. May he rest in peace.

Master Corporal Walsh will never be forgotten. This is amazing. My brother is in Afghanistan. I'm very proud of all our boys over seas.
