roman is so biased against Birds opening. he failed to mention any of whites best lines. i know because ive watched detailed analysis of Birds opening by GM henrik danielsen in which many improvement were found for white
Roman is a Grand Master of Chess. He has advised many top players in the world and has earned their respect. Why some people discredit or doubt Roman for his insights and analysis can only be due to their own shallow thoughts. Dzindzi's dvds have been fun and provided many hours of entertainment and learning. Thanks Dzindzi.
@vicayulo@vicayulo I got a better line for ya. f4 e5! fxe5 (for e4 and king's gambit watch Roman's video on same) d6 exd6 Bxd6 Nf3 g5 g3 h5! (better than the more equalish g4) d4 g4 Nh4 Be7 Ng2 h4 Bf4 hxg3 Bxg3 Bd6 and black has a winning percentage according to ChessBase. Most of these moves are forced by white or he loses immediately you can check that out with friendly computer. Hope this helps :)
Roman is right about the lines he shows, but I have played Bird's opening for some time and I know it is not so simple. For example, after 1. f4, d5 2. Nf3, Bg4 3. Ne5, Bh5 4.g4, f6 5. c4!?, the position is equal and a bit complicated.
Of course black is well with proper play. But what about white? Cant white play properly, too?
Nice! I just lost to someone who used birds opening in a tournament. I used sicilan and was so confused by what he was doing. I can't wait to see the look on his face when i play 1..d5 at this weekends tournament.
@angelastt He spends the first minute speaking about how it is unsound and dubious and starts off the analysis by saying "Now we're gonna discard one opening". What are you not getting?

@PabloDPena Black may have a plus percentage but after Nf4 I think white looks better. More discussion welcome on this!
