I am an occupational therapist and I have conducted many FCEs in practice. I now teach this topic at University level. I am interested to know if the MTM data has been updated in the past 70 years? With the changing profile of the population due to immigration, aging population in the workplace and the obesity "epidemic", I believe that the 1940s data is not reflective of the population today and therefore not a benchmark for predicting safe RTW. Is it time to update the data?

The MTM Association continues to validate the data constantly and has never had to make a change , I have done studies on 65 year old workers. they have done studies on new and emerging work processes especially for repetitive strain injury , the data continues to be overseen by unions and the scientific community as well as the engineers that use it on a day to day basis
