On June 24, 2009, hundreds of advocates for health care reform gathered in Washington, DC for an Interfaith Service of Witness and Prayer. Sister Simone Campbell, Executive Director of NETWORK, spoke at the event endorsed by 46 national faith organizations.
Your views do not represent my views nor the vast majority of Catholics'.
The current legislation allows the government to take control of yet another industry. It will have far reaching deleterious effects on the medical profession. Care will be less available and less effective. The bill will plunge our country deeper into debt. It will cause further harm to our economy and prevent a timely recovery of the recession.
The poor must have jobs so they can purchase their own health insurance.

Whoa KAM!!! Take your c ompassion and pay for it yourself! Neither you nor the sister has the right to take the job that Jesus commanded YOU - not the tazpayers who may or MAY NOT believe in Jesus - to do. Don't put the cost of the failure of Christianity onto the public. "What Would Jesus Do" is the responsibility of his followers. Shut up and do it yourselves.BAD EVASION, KAM!!

(In re your appearance on the Bill O'Reilly program)
WHOA, BILL!!! I take exception to the way you treated Sister Simone Campbell. You first attempted to paint her as a denigrator to Obama's health care plan, and then when she balked, you "spun" her answers as denying the health care plan.
The fact is that what you call "Obamacare" is much more compassionate and much more in line with "What Would Jesus Do?" than your pronouncements.
BAD FORM, BILL!!
