  • A little clarification:

1: Peter Scherer sent me a message that led me to edit the language describing this video. The original said Scherer had been hit with a tear gas grenade, which is what I was told by the medic bandaging Scherer's head. Scherer asked me to change it to a projectile shot by police.

    2. This is an interview with Peter Scherer, not Scott Olsen. Olsen is the Iraq War Veteran that suffered a skull fracture that night. He is still in the hospital.

  • My name is Alex Emslie, and I shot this video in Oakland last night. Thank you all for the intelligent comments. Please try to maintain a civil discourse. Assuming you know something about the subject of the video, if you've never met him, is short-sighted. So is stooping to that level and engaging that kind of prejudice. Thanks again.

  • bravo ,.. way to take one for the team ,.. i am amazed at his ability to be clear and make his point,.. bless him ,..

  • @Scott48Doom It's not about supporting corporations. It's about corporate greed teaming up with political pundits and lobbyists to get people elected. Learn what the movement is about. Everyone needs business and economics to survive in America but we don't need corporate power taking over the government.

  • It is sad that people are being injured while standing up for what they believe to be true and just.

  • I don't know alot about what's going on as I DON"T have a TV brainwashing me but from what I've gathered from hearing people talk & youtube. I am for this movement. I'm glad that people are doing this & standing up against the corp's & government. I love my country, USA, but not my gov't. I used to be 110% hardcore progov't, not anymore, I've seen the truth & am greatly disappointed is US Gov't & corp's. All I can do to help is pray for these folks & our country & pray I will. All America pray!!

  • Oh, and I don't have a trust-fund nor am I in a union. All I have is debt and hope; just like the majority of us.

  • Their job is to brutalize peaceful civilians? I worked twelve hours Wednesday Oct. 26, less than 24 hours from getting shot in the head by OPD with a rubber bullet. When was the last time you stood for something you believe in, @brlavend? Why did you take your last sick day?

I'm not the Marine who was injured. I'm not mad. I understand the OPD have mortgages with the same people we are fighting against and children to feed. We (the people of the world) will unite or we will fall.

  • @Football1superstars Dude, that guy is a Marine who served two terms in Iraq.

  • Ya Oakland police are dogs because they are doing their jobs... maybe you should get one

  • @Football1superstars when you was a kid....

  • I would argue that these cops would do it for free just to shoot one of you hippies in the eye ball.
