Making the Crooked Straight is a film about one mans journey to save the world by saving one child at a time. Born on Long Island and educated at John Hopkins, Dr. Rick Hodes has dedicated his life to helping heal the sick and poor of Ethiopia over the past 20 years. Often compared with Albert Schweitzer and Mother Teresa, Hodes believes the only way to change the world is to be the change you want to see. We are led through an exploration of this remarkable mans work in Ethiopia, his highly original family life, and the spirituality that has guided his choices and sacrifices.
I just watched the documentary on HBO and I completely agree this is a holy man. One man making a difference when so many of us look the other way. After seeing his amazing work leaving all the wealth he could have in America I am committed to begin donating to his cause and pray that God will continue blessing him to continue with this labor of love.

This doctor is must be a holy man. He dedicated his time to save poor Ethiopian kids, while world doesn't care about Ethiopian kids or any other kids for that matter. World has in mind only so called Palestinian kids...
