  • i wanted to enjoy the view when i was on that flight, but our flight was delayed till 3 in the morning, i had a middle aisle seat and i was too tired. wasn't even an aer lingus, just a chartered delta.

  • were are the runway papi lights

  • yah im irish i usually fly aer lingus to ny and boston ect but this time i flew ba home from boston we were inflight for about 2 ours as it was dark

  • ya im not a fan of flying at night either ive taken this flight twice & i actually enjoyed the take off the city looks fab at night

  • Yeah it actually was during the winter (November 5th) I'm sure you will be okay!! Just bring an iPod and some comfy clothes and you'll relax. Lots of people stay awake so it won't feels like it is night. Maybe it will be bright a lot more! I'm not that great when it comes to things like that. Hope you have a great flight! =]

  • Hm true true. That really sucks, I hate flying at nigt :( Did you fly in winter though? I was hoping that it will be bright again early because it is summer

  • When I flew that flight, it was only bright for a short period. New York is -5 hours behind and it leaves at about 9:30pm. Then it arrives in Ireland at 5am (EST). So really it is only bright for a short period of time. But sure, you'll probably sleep anyway. When it does brighten up, the air hostess's ask people to close their window blinds if passengers in that row are sleeping, so you wont be disturbed if you do nod off! Hope this helps.

  • I would like to know how long it stays dark for on those flights. I am planning to take that flight in August but don't want to fly at night. With the time difference it should be "morning" again not too long after take off though right?
