I just bought the new gopro and a ton of mounts and attachments.. I rigged a pretty good helmet-cam setup using bits and pieces of different mounts so that it shows pretty much 1st-person and doesn't get in my way.

The point of this video is just to show how it records at night.

  • I believe I just raised the video to wide angle 1080 and went from there. Any setting that I saw that may have helped quality I probably adjusted. I'll check tomorrow to see what settings I have.

  • WHATS WITH THE GOOFY MIRRORS?

  • @MrSailorJim Those are the mirrors that come on 09+ ZX's

  • I normally wear gloves but I was in the process of buying new gloves because I threw the old ones out. Mainly because they weren't even riding gloves. They were mechanic gloves so they were useless anyways in the event of a crash.

  • it took him 6:34 to get to wall mart.

  • @airjaded7 Haha yeah I actually wasn't going to walmart. I can get there in about 2 minutes if I went the right way. I was just excited to make a video after figuring out my helmet mount and then got hungry after I started riding.

  • What housing did you use? My Hero2 has horrible wind noise, with and with out the waterproof casing.

Are you using a external mic?

Where is it mounted on your chin?

  • big improvement in night quality!

  • i think its funny you check to the right when you turn right

  • Not bad where there is actually lighting

  • cop at 1 19

  • was that a cop at the first stop sign?

  • I've had the original HD Hero for a couple years now, and it's pretty respectable for a CMOS camera, but still pretty useless at night. Just got the Hero2, and it's definitely a HUGE improvement for night shots. I accidentally left it on for a long drive, and it recorded into the night. I was amazed that I could actually see just as good (if not better) than actually being there.

Oh, and definitely 30fps for night. Lower fps gives the camera more time to take in light. 1080p helps a little too.

  • this video looks more clean !
