After being made redundant with little or no compensation, former employees of Nortel UK take their fight for justice to the UK Houses of Parliament and the offices of Ernst & Young.
As an ExNortel employee who was made reundant in the 2001 cull I would like to lend my support to all the employees who have recently been abused by this company. Please let me know of any newsgroup or website which you may have up and running.
Criminal, Nortel should not get away with it !! How can the Executive bonuses awarded in March 2009 be legal??
This is a very sad state of affairs; Nortel Executives should be shamed, charged and fined significantly enough to make them realize their outrageous conceit, ensuring no repeat of this heinous crime on UK soil.
A flagrant violation of UK employment law is seemingly completely ignored. Why even have laws? There are no 'special circumstances' that warrant this law breaking. Nortel and E&Y have been disgraced. Let's hope a satisfactory resolution is forthcoming and that those who are left are treated fairly. This makes my blood boil.
