Reving the old 1963 921 DNF Diamond T first time running in several years. 8 8 09. Found this truck over in Oklahoma. Been setting for a long time. Last licensed in 1986. We made it run and drove it up on the trailer.

  • @mrlaverdadantetodo you forgot to include no heat in the winter...lol..Cut my teeth on Emeryvilles when I was 17 and was pulling chemical tankers in NYS and New England at 19. Those were the days before body suits, bottom loading, seat belts, and OSHA. Ran South in summer and West in winter. Go figure.

  • @speedskiff2 That's right! I did learn to drive big trucks with this engine when I was 14. No engine brake, no sleeper, no AC, no air suspension, etc. Real truckers long time ago.

  • 262 was a 220 with a turbo.

  • @volker185

As i know the cummins 262 is turbocharged and has 262 fat hps :P

  • the end of the video looks right down the mouth of the turbo if i'm not mistaken, looks to be a cool project

  • Supercharged? Rear dump split manifold?

  • Nice find. There something about an old beat up truck with a monster diesel under the hood. I always think of what it has done and what it could be/do to come. Its got character for sure.

  • sure sounds good, like the large visor.

  • Good to see you got her going. Lots of potential there but quite a project also.
