Sexuality is part of who we are just as much as an arm or a leg is. We do not pray away who we are. We can pray away homophobia, violence, and heterosexism.

@Elkhorngrl77 I think I was angry when I posted this. I think heaven and hell are states of mind not places. There is very little in the bible about homosexuality so it can be ignored in reality. as for the bible, it was written by men, possibly inspired by god. I have no dounts that some where but some of the heinous crimes committed in the bible in the name of God don't make sense to me. Prayer is powerful and I pray alot. I am not a christian but I cherish some values connected to it.

@Elkhorngrl77 Just because God created a woman and not a man does not mean a thing about the morality of homosexuality. Your comment does not prove at all that the word translated helpmeet had *no* gender at all to it and could refer to either a man or a woman.

@didgedude1 I know that you posted this a year ago. I was just wondering if you still have the same views on Christianity or not. If you do, why do you feel this way? I believe in Hell and Heaven. I believe in God and in Satin. I'm not homophobic. I am not perfect, just like everyone else in this world. I don't understand why there is this thing called "pray the gay away." Why not focus on praying for crime to be reduced or for people to be able to find and keep jobs?
