Civilization recorded with the Andrew Sisters and Danny Kaye. Records in 1948. I decided to include a late 78 Era record to compare how after 40 or so years the 78 Format had reached it zenith. Civilization (Bongo,Bongo,Bongo)
written by Carl sigman - Bob Hillard perforned by the Andrew sisters and Danny Kaye.
DECCA record number L4508 23940-A
I seems that there is a remergence of this song due it being featured in a video roleplaying game called Fall out 3 Thousand of youngsters are out there thinking this song was written for that game. They are suprised to find out that some of the songs were really written two genrations before them. So kiddos enjoy the past sounds of the 40's and 78 RPM records.
Bongo bongo bongo
PS
This is why i think Galaxy News radio has only songs from the 1940's. 78 RPM shellac Records would be the only music Medium to survive a nuclear war. Since Shellac records are an inert material its not susceptible to Data Wiping Electromagnetic waves that Atom bombs put out. That would wipe out all music not made stored in organic materials. That's all music from 1954 to now. I have records that still will play sound after being stored for 104 years. Get an I pod that will play after 104 years. and will proper care not to break one 78 RPM Records should last indefinitely. So all my 78 Rpm records could have very well be part of DJ three dogs playlist so browse around and comment
I can't quite figure out why, but this song has been stuck in head for a week. Fallout 3, thank you for introducing me to this bloody addictive song!
Also, I think my girlfriend may try to silence me if I sing the chorus one more time....but I don't care!
