Update on my freshwater community aquarium.

Changed the old back hood for a glass top and upgraded lighting to a 36 inch Marinealnd Double Bright LED system.
Added a Submariner UV Sterilizer that is running 8 hours daily with a digital timer.
I also added a Nutrafin CO2 system for my recently added plants. DIY recepie for the reactor. Using 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp baker's yeast, and 1/4 tsp of baking soda.
Will hopefully replace all the plants to live ones.
Fish seem to be happy in their environment.

  • If you're reffering to the sterilizer, I changed it and do NOT recomend it... I got a coralife inline uv sterilizer instead. I also updated the CO2 to a presurized system. Will make an update soon.
