Here is the first body-powered artificial thumb for amputees. Here you can see how the device can be used to lift an object.

  • Don't even bother with these people, prodigits clearly OWN this solution

  • @ValiantVendetta

Actually I am friends with many people who own Pro-Digits and our products do not overlap. We both were invited by the Crown Prince of Denmark for the Index Awards and laughed about how people think that we are competitors. My devices replace missing fingers, but for people who still have their palm intact. Pro-Digits only work for people who have a portion of their palm missing. But thank you for allowing me to clarify for everyone who does not know this; similar to you. : )

  • Hi Mr. Daniel I just have a question do u also have a cover like skin cover to this finger?

  • Yes, we now have covers for thumbs as well. I will create a video showing them soon.

  • @YooEfO A thumb...

  • Whats the use for this anyway

  • @rhcantarella

In this video an amputee is not wearing the device, but even if the thumb is missing the patient is able to press their hand against the device and flex the thumb. We have more than 500 configurations of devices to accommodate a variety of amputation cases. This video was made after creating my first demo-unit. I simply put it on to show the mechanics. Depending on the length of the remaining thumb flexion, extension and lateral movements can be restored.

  • how do you make this stuff?
