my parrotlet gets all fluffed up when he is mad and just the other day I had on blue nail polish and he hated it and I couldn't figure out why he kept schreeching at me. I never wear nail polish because I am a waitress and we are not allowed polish at work but i work five days a week so he never saw nail polish before. Then yesterday he got a hold of my finger right below my nail and took a nice chunk out of my finger and it bled for a few minutes hehe. but i could never stop loving him.

Hee hee, I also have a parrotlet named Kiwi...seems to be a popular name but I thought I was being original, lol.
My Kiwi is just as bad; she chases the dogs around and bit the toes off of a parakeet once!

I've heard females are more playful than males...and from what I'm seeing on youtube that appears to be the case. Is she nippy at all? I've read females can be nippier than males. She's adorable, by the way.

Yes, she is nippy! We have a stray bottle of water that we use when she gets too bitey. Even though we love her to death, if we ever get another parrotlet, we will get a male - because of the aggressive behavior and we have also heard that the males tend to talk more. Our little girl refuses to speak!! Ha!
