I am a student going into teaching and am thinking about moving to Portland, Oregon. The city looks so cool and so much more great than Detroit. I crave culture and a thriving downtown. Look at the people on the street. You don't see that in "The D". And I don't mind the rain. I don't have to shovel rain. Plus having the option of mass transit is good! You should be thankful in Portland you have forward thinking leaders. If I do move, I'll change my name to westcoastspartan. :) Great video!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the vid and Portland is truly great. Definitely forward thinking, loads of art galleries, a bazillion different types of restaurants, plus the ocean and skiing both only an hour away AND it's just sooo BEAUTIFUL here. I highly recommend it. :)

Max is Portland's trolley of death which transfers crime from one part of the city to another. I don't know how many lives have been taken as a result of Tri-Met but I have been involved in three incidents where metro-buses have pulled out in front of me while I had the right away; almost causing a major accident. The amount of money which has been wasted on a light-rail system is criminal and I'm forced to pay for a system that I seldom have ever used.
