Daimler shareholders are not going to be pleased when they find out that instead of car R & D their money has been spent on making a tornado.

The artificial tornado was not installed for fun!!! In Germany the regulations require a smoke removal system for the case of fire for a building of this size. At the end the the ingenious idea of an artificial tornado replacing a conventional smoke removal systems was the cheapest solution. Because of the complex and unique structure of the building it would have been much more complicated and expensive to do it another way.

I was joking but that's actually quite interesting. They have some clever people at Mercedes.
