This short clip comes from elder care training video "Maintaining Independence: The Older Person's Perspective" based on the award-winning classic documentary "Dominick and Margaret" about two elderly bilateral amputees who work hard to live on their own. This video is great viewing for elderly people to encourage them to maintain their independence as well as occupational therapists working with older people.

  • The amount of determination that Dominick and Margaret has is truly extraordinary. It’s their positive approach on things that makes them able to live independently despite of their crippling condition. But despite of their strong will to live on their own and their ability to do so, it would still be best for them and for people like them use a PERS to complete their confidence about living independently.
